Test Automation Engineer

Role
The Role of the Test Automation Engineer is to design, build, test, and deploy effective test automation and continuous testing solutions. The aim is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code / scripts and implement continuous integration / testing for a large agile software development environment.

Responsibilities:

Participate in requirements and impact analysis discussions together with developers
Participate effectively in test estimation, planning, cost-of-quality, and quality risk analysis
Design, Develop tests and automate unit, integration, functional and system test scripts
Integrate the test suites into the test management system and custom test harnesses
Develop and analyze Traceability Matrix, Coverage, Stability, Failure reports
Communicate reports to required stakeholders and report defects to engineering
Maintain Test Automation Inventory and Assets
Conduct continuous testing / integration / delivery / deployment tool-technique evaluations
Implement and optimize continuous automated integration and continuous test environments, tools and processes
Be part of release management process and reviews

Skill Requirements:

Tools Sahi, Selenium, JMeter, Webdriver, Jasmine, Cucumber, Javascript, Jenkins-Chef-Docker, Puppet, Shell scripting
Practices and Techniques Continuous Integration / Testing / Delivery / Deployment
Test Automation Approach Keyword Driven , Data Driven,
Knowledge of Functional Test Automation Life Cycle

Desired Profile:B.E / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech from a reputed institute with excellent academic record and should have relevant IT industry experience of 1 to 3 years
