              Location-Pune

Job Summary:
 
  • Design and develop new features and functionalities
  • Work with Customers, QA and other stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Implement new functionalities and features in the product.
  • Optimize code to improve application efficiency.
  • Support QA processes and deployments.
  • Provide after-release product support.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
 
Some of the key requirements:
 
  • Education - BE, MCA, MCS
  • Technical Skils:
o   Must-Have
§  Expert level proficiency in Dot Net Framework, C#
§  Solid understanding of OOP concepts.
§  Good problem solving skills
§  Intermediate level knowledge of REST APIs, MVC
o   Good-to-Have
§  Experience in Web Automation frameworks like Selenium.
§  Experience in automated unit testing frameworks like NUnit

2.       Designation: SSE (ACM)

Job Summary:

3. Designation: Test Engineer (Manual Testing- Connectors)
    Location-Pune
    Desired Candidate Profile:
 
Job Summary:
 
·         Engage in continuous manual testing activity throughout agile development iterations
·         Write test plans, user facing documentations, product wiki’s and requirements etc.
·         Participate in planning, providing input on required testing tasks, process, and associated effort for the selected user stories
·         Create and manage bug reports, ensuring they are clearly communicated to the team and addressed in a timely and satisfactory manner
·         Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality
·         Investigate customer problems referred by technical support
·         Produce results and planned deliverables using the agile scrum method with short delivery timeframes
·         Interact seamlessly with other groups and departments within Avalara to effectively collaborate with team members as well as internal and external clients.
·         Automated code analysis , have knowledge on coding guidelines will be added advantage
Some of the key requirements:
 
·         Overall minimum 8 yrs. Experience in hands on manual testing. Should be expert in functional, regression, system & performance testing. Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
·         Strong knowledge of SQL Server installation and configuration. Knowledge on SQL Scripting will be plus.
·         Experience writing test scenarios and cases.
·         Ability to work independently without less or no supervision.
·         Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
·         Someone who is adaptable in fast product development methodology and can work as bridge between product, business analyst and tech support teams.
·         Not too dependent on documentation.
·         Open to accept additional responsibilities assigned to meet the deadlines
·         Experience on any of the ERP testing will be huge plus. (Dynamics AX, GP, NAV)
·         Must be able to accommodate working/attending meetings during United States business hours, headquarters US PST
·         Should be well familiar with at least 1 programming language (basic) - .Net / Java / PHP
 
 
4. Designation: Content Analyst
    Location-Pune
    Desired Candidate Profile:
 
Job Summary:
 
The goal of Content Analyst is to perform the initial research of tax content which will be provided to AvaTax customers. 
  • Interpret and analyze tax laws and ordinances to determine accurate tax treatment for specific products and services.
  • Maintain existing taxability rules for assigned jurisdictions by monitoring tax law changes.
  • Interpret the tax laws and ordinances, evaluate correct content and come up with tax calculation decisions.
  • Contact assigned US States, and corresponding Counties, Cities and/or Districts to source the US Sales & Use Tax rates, related rules, ordinances and forms.
  • Document research findings in a given format.
  • Be responsible for maintaining accurate, complete and timely taxability, rates and boundary content.
  • Meet monthly deadlines to incorporate research results into Avatax.
  • Carry out intensive web research to and be active with all the latest tax news.
  • Use online tools and current UPC (Universal Product Code) database information, research client products and product attributes, as well as jurisdictions, to identify and update correct AvaTax code information for client use.
  • Review new files to establish initial WIC (a US-specific federally-funded health and nutrition program for women, infants, and children) coding and existing WIC client files to update with changes for WIC eligibility in each state in which clients do business
  • Assist with customer requests for AvaTax code information as assigned.
  • Effectively work and communicate with team members to accomplish specific tasks in a timely, efficient and productive manner.
  • Perform self and team quality review.
  • Participate in committee activities and provide input where applicable.
  • Open to accept additional responsibilities assigned to meet deadlines.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

·         Scan or load tax return forms and other information gathered into applications / document repository
·         Coordinate with the group and help the manager in completing the tasks assigned to the team members

Desired Candidate Profile:
 
·         Graduate  from commerce background
·         1 year experience in data entry / data processing / transaction processing.
·         Excellent typing speed - min 40wpm
·         Good analytical skills - especially math
·         Good communication skills
·         Sound knowledge of MS Office suite
·         Willing to work in overlapping timings
·         Nice to have - experience / knowledge in sales tax domain
